Jubilee Fellowship is a joyous and welcoming community of faith. Our “time for greeting” during worship is filled with hugs and smiles for everyone. Birthdays and anniversaries are recognized and celebrated. We are delighted to partner with Aston Gardens, providing services and Bible Study for residents as well as non-residents.
Our spiritual community started in May of 2013, with Rev. Dr. Dan Lamey as our Pastor, meeting weekly at Aston Gardens for Bible study. Some of us had been attending classes with “Dr. Dan”, or “Pastor Dan” as he is called, from a prior church affiliation. In 2014, we came to call ourselves Jubilee Fellowship of Naples, with dreams of finding a place to worship together on Sundays.
In January 2015, we began Sunday worship services at Aston Gardens. Chuck Jobes was with us from the first service, providing musical accompaniment on the keyboard along with his wonderful vocals.
Every January we celebrate “Founders’ Day” to mark our anniversary. We were readily approved as a 501 c 3 non-profit organization.
Our church proudly achieved Blue Zones Project ApprovalTM Status in 2016, one of the first Naples churches to attain this status.
We were featured in the 12/8/16 edition of the Naples Daily News with an article and this picture taken at our ribbon-cutting ceremony. We gained this recognition for promoting the initiative’s principles for being healthier and gaining fulfillment.
We gathered for several delightful events throughout the years, including a trip to Broadway Palm Theater to see “Jesus Christ Superstar”, a trip to Ave Maria to see the Mother Teresa Museum and Christmas parties.
Mission
Each year we select several local missions to support. Beginning in our first year (2015) we donated funds to Laces of Love, to provide new shoes to needy children in Collier County; we continue to support them each year.
The Christmas in July Foundation serves children in need of basic supplies to help them start the school year. We support them yearly.
Because of our special connection to the Bower School of Music at Florida Gulf Coast University we have provided scholarships for the students who work with us as Worship Attendants.
We donate yearly to the Aston Gardens Employee Fund, enabling them all to receive Christmas bonuses each year.
Others we have supported are: Ministry Mentors, Alzheimer’s Support Group of Naples, Care Club of Collier County, Liberty Youth Ranch and Bonita Assistance Office.
